I was forced to lie – Uzoamaka Ohiri
Chinedu Ani, also known as Nedu, claims that his ex-wife, Uzoamaka Ohiri, freely gave over their two girls to him on Tuesday at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti.
She did so, though, under pressure, she claimed.
Nedu also submitted a declaration from his ex-wife at the SCID, in which she indicated, among other things, that she was relinquishing custody of the children due to financial difficulties.
She stated in the statement that while the children are in her ex-custody, husband’s she will have unrestricted access to them.
“I, Uzoamaka, on this 28th day of September, 2021, gave over my daughters, Kaylah, six years old, and Praise, four years old, to their father, Mr. Chinedu Emmanuel Ani,” she wrote at the SCID.
“I took them back from Owerri, where they were staying with my mother, Mrs. Uzoamaka Ohiri, because our Lagos rent had run out, thus my children arrived in Lagos on September 27, 2021.
“Mr. Chinedu has promised that as long as the children are with him, I Uzoamaka will have unrestricted access to the children, and if their school is changed, I will be notified until the court assigns custody of our girls to one of us.”
