Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has dissolved the
State Executive Council.
The dissolution was announced shortly after the State
Executive Council meeting on Wednesday by the
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan
Emelumba.
He attributed the dissolution to plans by Governor
Uzodinma to rejig the activities of the state government
after one year in office.
Emelumba added that out of the 28 commissioners, only 8
commissioners were left to carry on with their activities,
and they include: Commissioners for Health, Information,
Tourism, Women Affairs, Works, Finance, Youths and
Sports, and Ministry of Technology.
