My interest is not who slapped who or who was slapped. Of course, that cannot be my worry in a country where millions of people are not sure of the next meal; where millions have no money to attend to their poor health; where universities are on strike; where businesses are crumbling; where fuel, gas and kerosine have become diamond, gold and silver; where kidnapping, arson, killings are no longer reported because they are no longer news. We are talking about a nation where a total State of Nature has been fully activated to the extent that an ex-governor cannot stay up to 24 hours in his state after handover. And that is my worry. That is the real SLAP!
These are people that tell the common citizens everyday to go about their daily business without fear because everything is under control. They do not even believe their own words. Everywhere in the world, security of lives and property are given by the people. You don’t command or import security. It comes from the environment, from the people. And this can only be assured by a people’s or regional government. I was just wondering: Where is the ex-governor running to? Why is he in such a hurry? Is the state he governed not good enough for him? God save the masses!
